The evaluation unit registers a step onto the mat and forwards the information via switching output to the connected systems. The TS505 tread sensor has extremely short response times and a wide dynamic range. The tread power (switching threshold) can be adjusted with the according evaluation unit as required for the individual application. Also, the period of the effected power (impact time) can be adjusted as needed. Function A homogeneous pressure sensor is integrated on the reverse side of the tread mat. Due to the flexibility of the carrier material the impact power can be detected at any spot on the mat. This detection activates a switching signal in the evaluation unit.
