Circuit Board Detector PLD/2 Single and Dual Channel Loop Detector Home > Products > Door/Barrier/Parking > Circuit Board Detector Application range | Features | Function description | Technical data Connections | PDF download
The induction impulse transmitter PLD1/2 and PLD2/2 analyse loops laid in the ground. These represent the inductivity of a high frequency oscillator circuit. The metal body of a vehicle passing the loop causes a change of the frequency of the oscillator circuit. The loop detector analyses this and sends a switching signal via a dry relay. This is also displayed on the front LEDs. The analysis of the loop frequency is performed by a microprocessor that automatically adjusts to the existent frequency and automatically compensates changing loop inductivities due to temperature, humidity or aging of components. The PLD/2's circuit board design is ideal for applications in integrated electronic control systems. |

Connections Molex connector ![]() EC Conformity Requirements for the usage according to regulations Requirements acc. to ETSI EN 300330-1 (2002-12) For the antenna factor (loop area A in m2 multiplied by the number of loop windings N) the following is imperative: N*A <= 60 m2
Constraints for the compliance with EN 300330-1 According to the stated formula, the following loop windings in dependence to the loop area are recommended:
Operating frequency range (L = 15 µH - 400 µH) 20.05 kHz < f < 70 kHz Total inductivity (loop + feed cable) Specification: Ltotal < 400 µH Example: Loop inductivity 200 mH; feed cable inductivity < 200 µH with 100 µH / 100 m: length of feed cable < 200 m Requirements acc. to DIN EN 60950 The device has basic insulation.
